BIO

Music has always been part of Steve’s life. His early interest found focus and direction when he received his first guitar on his 17th birthday, opening the door to self-expression through music. From singing in choirs, and performing in musicals, to solo performances and sharing the stage in duos, these opportunities forged Steve’s skills as a singer and performer.

Shortly after creating his first CD, Steve decided to suspend his musical pursuits to become a caregiver for his autistic son. Steve has returned to songwriting and performing music steeped with social awareness, love, and spirituality themes.

Steve's music has taken him on tours across the U.S. including Colorado, Kansas, Wyoming, Utah, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Texas, bringing joy to audiences with his Singer/Songwriter folk-rock sound and soulful lyrics. He has played prestigious stages at South by Southwest and Big Turn Festivals, engaging listeners with his heartfelt performances. Steve is back in the studio, recording new material that speaks to the complexities of human relationships as we navigate contemporary social circumstances.

Performances

I typically perform for one to four hours. This is broken into one-hour sets. Often I’ll run them back-to-back when I have an engaged audience. My sets comprise a mixture of covers and originals in the following genres:

  • Singer/Songwriter Folk Rock

  • Adult Contemporary

  • Bardic (Modern songs written in a Renaissance style)

The covers span seven decades of popular songs. I gravitate towards ballads. If you have songs you love, let me know and I’d be happy to perform them.
